課程概述 |
THIS COURSE WILL DISCUSS THE INTERACTION BETWEEN BIOSPHERE, CHEMISTRY AND CLIMATE FROM PRESENTATIONS WITH SOME HANDS-ON-EXPERIMENTS. THE CONTENTS OF THIS COURSE INCLUDE:
1. REVIEW ATMOSPHERIC CHEMISTRY
2. BIOGENIC AEROSOLS
3. THE CARBON CYCLE
4. ATMOSPHERIC METHANE
5. ATMOSPHERIC NITROGEN
6. ATMOSPHERIC SULFATE
7. AIR QUALITY AND CLIMATE
8. STRATOSPHERIC CHEMISTRY
9. WILDFIRES / DEFORESTATION / LAND USE CHANGE
10. GEO-ENGINEERING OF CLIMATE

The goal of this course is to discuss and explore the sensitivity of the climate system to the chemical composition of the atmosphere with an emphasis on the connections to biospheric processes. |
